The UrbanWise project is now in full swing, the project aims to bring together a range of exciting pieces of media from short film and animation to music and print that tells a story or promotes an issue that young people want publicised. There are two inspirational young people, Scott and Davina, who are leading the project who have both had their own challenges in life and are now mentoring, supporting and inspiring the lives of others. Over the next few weeks they will both be blogging about the progress of the project as the young people submit their ideas. The project is a collaboration between Ashfield HMP YOI and community projects based out of Knowle West Media Centre. Scott is representing 2nd Chance and the poster which they produced to promote the scheme has been put up on every wing in Ashfield and has a huge impact on the young men who have seen it as it promotes a message of yes you can turn your life around and be successful. At 2nd Chance we're all very proud of him and are excited to see the work produced from the UrbanWise media project.
