Offenders + At Risk + Sponsor = Less Victims
Offenders meet At-risk Young People to prevent future victims within our society; can your organisation offer the same as RWP?
We aim to reduce victims of the future and we do this using the power of sport using our academies within HMYOI Portland and HMP & YOI Ashfield. After a discussion with Ralph Watson, a life coach consultant, he agreed to sponsor and support the final match Portland Academy Vs Chelsea FC – with much needed kit and a trophy. This was the result of an intensive programme that supported the team in developing productive and positive lives once released. The idea behind the final day was to bring young people in custody and at risk young people from outside together in an attempt to share experiences and hopefully and prevent both from choosing the wrong path in future – thus preventing victims of the future and helping young lives become productive, a benefit to all.
Ralph Watson sponsored a match day kit for the teams and trophies for winners and runners up from the day, plus he was a spectator at the final match held within HMYOI Portland and presented the trophy. His support was gratefully received by all the parties and made 14 young peoples' experience, one to remember –
“I have now given my shirt to my daughter and it reminds me that I can provide for her as I have now realised the skills I have, will make life better not only for her and for myself, but for all within my community!”
Jamie aged 20 Academy Member.

“I decided to support the guys at 2nd Chance because they are walking the talk and really DOING something to improve the lives and futures of some highly challenged people at the same time as making our society a better place for all. I like what they do and why they do it!” Ralph Watson.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ralph Watson for his ongoing support to us – it is great to know, what we are doing can and does support so many!
We have lots of sponsors in the pipeline for events and support towards community projects that really do make a difference to not only young lives, but for us all. Should you wish to know more, please contact info@2ndchanceproject.co.uk and put ‘sponsorship’ in the subject.
