Hi everyone,

We would like to invite you to Knowle West Media Centre on June 16th from 6:30-7:30pm to find out more about a new project!

We have an exciting new funded project that has just been awarded to us by Media Box. Together with our partner Knowle West Media Centre we have 10 bursaries on offer for young people to produce issue based media stories. The project will run from June until the end of October 2010.

We are looking for members of the local community to form a steering group. The steering group will be made up of local young people that which will meet every week initially, to steer and coordinate the project.

Our aim is to establish positive opportunities for young people leaving the criminal justice system and /or those at risk of offending. We aim to achieve this by promoting the value of young peoples’ life experiences through multi-media platforms, which in turn will raise aspirations, challenge perceptions and give young people the chance to become skilled in media production.
