What was life like before 2nd Chance Project?

Life before 2nd Chance was hard. I got myself into a lot of trouble. I was hustling and fighting and always battling with my anger. My last job was in Burger King and I used to cut hair in Fabios in Fishponds. I used to play football on Sundays and I used to play rugby. Most of my time was spent chilling with friends or spending time alone. I enjoy my own company.

What was life like with 2nd Chance Project?

Life with 2nd Chance is fun but also annoying because I'm mixing with different people but they dont always have a good attitude. Some people are always complaining about not wanting to do sport. To me, 2nd Chance means getting help and support in sports and life skills and not coming to @Life and moaning all the time. If they are here they should make the most of it I mean why come if your not going to give 110%. I'm a lot healthier now and I encourage others to achieve what I know they can achieve.

What are your plans for the future and how did 2nd Chance Project help?

I want to be a Sports Coach because I really enjoy sports and I feel its the only thing I'm good at. My attention span is much bigger when it comes to sport. 2nd Chance are motivating me and I feel the staff tell me how it is and are honest. I prefer people to tell me the truth. The @Life programme is giving me the life skills and qualifications to help me achieve my goal as a sports coach. My next steps are to get me an apprenticeship through 2nd Chance.

What would you say to other young people who were thinking about getting involved in the 2nd Chance Project?

As long as your willing to learn, then come and give @Life a chance. You can get qualifications, become healthy and meet other people who have the same interests.
