Afghanistan
'Peace at the Crease'
In October 2011, 2nd Chance set off oversees to provide sports development in a Country torn apart from conflict. In partnership with Cricket for Change and the Afghan Connection we travelled to Kabul in Afghanisan to work with the Afghan Cricket Board and the Afghan National Rugby Federation.
The trip funded by UK sport and the ICC allowed us to travel to Kabul and deliver a Cricket Coaching Level 1 Award to over 25 coaches and support rugby development through the Rugby 4 Change programme.
Hopefully the training and support we have given, allows coaches from a wide range of provinces around Afghanistan to engage young people positively though sport. After spending time with the sports governing bodies in Afghanistan, we are aware they have big plans for the future and we wish them all the very best in brining people together through sport.

A huge thanks to our partners LV Kit Aid and Gary at Doug Hillard Sports for donating sports kit and equipment to the projects in Afghanistan. Without there support we couldnt have made such an impact!!

This picture was taken after a tough training session with the Afghan National Rugby team. They are a relatively new team with great potential and we wish them all the best in their rugby futures!

After the Awards ceremony it was only right to swap shirts!
Below James is delivering a range of fun warm up games!
