Kieran Ward of Cheltenham ran out for a football trial on Sunday 7th Feb 2010!
While this on its own may be a normal challenge to some, he is currently attending our @ life course (@ riverside YP, supported by City of Bristol College) and was given this opportunity by our very own Tony Rickets Head of Sports and Coach Education, who is the tutor for our ambitious and pro-dynamic programme. The challenge comes in the shape of this talented young person being on tag and moving home during the time of this trial! His efforts for getting to the trial are a testament to his drive to create for himself 'life-long' change.
Supported by his youth offending team, Gloucestershire YOT, who purchased his boots the Friday before the trial created the opportunity and focus to get to the trial and play his socks off! Tony travelled to meet Keiran on the Friday night with kit and encouraging words of advice for the Trial.
The report was simple, Keiran did very well, enjoying both the day and the experience. We need to watch this space for the verdict of the various club scouts reactions...we'll keep you updated!
