This framework is specific for those who wish to coach Football, they must also achieve their Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football VRQ and it is advised that candidates already have some prior experience of coaching football. You must also achieve Key/Functional Skills Level 1 in Communication and Application of Number, unless you have GCSE C grade Maths and English within the last 5 years.

The NVQ consists of the following units:

Mandatory units:
D43 Plan and prepare a series of coaching sessions
D44 Maintain an environment in which participants can improve their performance    
D45 Coach participants to improve their performance    
D416 Evaluate coaching sessions and develop personal coaching practice

Optional unit    
C35 Deal with Accidents and Emergencies
