Q. What was life like before 2nd Chance?

Life before I joined the 2nd Chance Project was filled with uncertainty and worry as I didnt know where my future was heading. I felt strongly that I needed a new direction and aimed to better myself, hoping to achieve and accomplish new skills that are beneficial to myself and others.

Q. What was life like with the 2nd Chance Project?

Being part of the 2nd Chance Project was enjoyable and it was interesting to come across a team who are genuine and sincere in their work of making positive change in young peoples lives. This was warming to know a caring group of people really wanted to make a difference to better others and give young people a chance to do so.

Q. What are your plans for the future and how did 2nd Chance help?

My plans for my future is to develop myself through counselling and therapies as my interests strongly lie with helping others. I am also considering joining another apprenticeship in sales and marketing because I enjoy interacting with others and feel this is another good skill that is useful to have in the community.

The 2nd Chance Project have helped by setting a good example of what is achievable if you are willing to put the effort in to what you enjoy. The team have also shown to be very supportive throughout my stay and are still continuing to help me even though I am leaving the team.

Help and support from others is at times hard to find, this is why the team and why the 2nd Chance Project are unique!

Q. What would you say to other young people who were thinking about getting involved with the 2nd Chance Project?

To young people who would like to get involved with the 2nd Chance Project, I would say GO FOR IT and take a good opportunity while it is available as it can really make a big, life changing difference to your life and achieve an aim you wish to proceed with. There are so many positive outcomes you can experience such as self belief, new experiences, confidence, developing new skills and gaining new qualifications, guidance and support and a chance to improve yourself.

All the best
